**Currently there is a know issue where IPV6 needs to be disabled in the Thunderbird client in order to function properly**
Mozilla Thunderbird is an open-source third party email client. Thunderbird is only capable of accessing your Office 365 account for email.
For Thunderbird to access your email, your Office 365 account and Thunderbird will need to be configured for IMAP. With IMAP you can only access your email, not your calendars, contacts, or tasks.
While Thunderbird is an approved third party email client, NU ITS does not provide technical support for this application. Any technical/user questions will have to be addressed by Mozilla.
Getting Started
You can obtain a free download of Thunderbird from the Mozilla website. In order to work with the university email system the version of Thunderbird must be version 78 or higher.
