HuskerTech Help Center Policies

Repair Policy

I understand the HuskerTECH Help Center is not responsible for pre-existing problems, damage resulting from pre-existing problems, or any damage to the computer that is not a direct result of actions of a HuskerTECH Help Center employee.  I understand some work done by HuskerTECH Help Center technicians may void any warranties on my computer, and that I am responsible for knowing the terms and conditions of my computer’s warranty. If I am checking in an Apple computer, I acknowledge that diagnostic data, including the serial number of my computer, will be sent to and kept by Apple.  Apple only uses this information to troubleshoot and address issues concerning my computer.  The HuskerTECH Help Center is not responsible for any lost data; I am responsible for backing up my data before checking the computer in for any service.  The HuskerTECH Help Center will make every effort to contact you when work on your computer is finished.  Computers that have not been picked up for more than 6 months may be considered unclaimed or abandoned, and may become property of UNL Inventory.  Parts order by the HuskerTECH Help Center will come with a 90 day warranty.

Cleanup Policy

I understand the HuskerTECH Help Center is not responsible for pre-existing problems, damage resulting from pre-existing problems, or any damage to the computer that is not a direct result of actions of a HuskerTECH Help Center employee.  I understand some work done by HuskerTECH Help Center technicians may void any warranties on my computer, and that I am responsible for knowing the terms and conditions of my computer’s warranty.  I understand If I am checking in an Apple computer, I acknowledge that diagnostic data, including the serial number of my computer, will be sent to and kept by Apple.  Apple only uses this information to troubleshoot and address issues concerning my computer.  The HuskerTECH Help Center is not responsible for any lost data; I am responsible for backing up my data before checking the computer in for any service.  As part of the cleanup process HuskerTECH Help Center employees may be exposed to files of a personal nature on your computer.  The HuskerTECH Help Center recommends removing any files you deem private off of the computer before it is checked in for work.  The HuskerTECH Help Center will make every effort to contact you when work on your computer is finished.  Computers that have not been picked up for more than 6 months may be considered unclaimed or abandoned, and may become property of UNL Inventory.

Payment Policy

We accept NCard ($300 limit), Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We do not accept cash or checks. Please refer to the NCard Campus Account policies when using your NCard as payment. Failure to pay for services rendered by the HuskerTECH Help Center may result in a hold on your University accounts.

Property Policy

Computers that have not been picked up for more than 6 months may be considered unclaimed or abandoned property, and may become property of UNL Inventory.

Checkout Policy

I understand that if I am a current Student with the University I may checkout a Windows or Apple laptop computer from the HuskerTECH Help Center for the duration of the cleanup or repair. I understand that I must return the checked out equipment when I receive notification that the requested service to my computer is complete and that I must return the checked out equipment before my computer is released to me. I agree that I will return the computer checked out to me by the HuskerTECH Help Center in the same condition it was in when the checkout period began. I agree that if I return the computer to the HuskerTECH Help Center and it is deemed to be damaged by the HuskerTECH Help Center technicians that I am responsible for all costs associated with returning the computer to its original condition. Failure to return the checkout laptop may result in a hold on your University account, and the laptop will be reported as stolen to the UNL police department.
