Dear UNL ITS Billing Services Non-Departmental (Faculty, Staff, Other Entity) Customer,

A new ITS billing system will be going live in March, 2018.  This system is used to bill you for your monthly service.

What this means to you:

  • Beginning in April, 2018, monthly invoice due dates will move from the 10th of the month to the 5th of the month.
  • April, 2018, going forward, your monthly invoice will be available on the 13th of the month.

Some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) that may answer questions you have are at the bottom.  If you still have questions regarding change, contact ITS Accounting Department at its-billing@nebraska.edu or call 402-472-2002.

FAQ

User Access

Q1.  I am an individual subscriber (e.g. Faculty, Staff, Other Entity Customer).  Do I need access to the new system?

A1.  No.  At present, only University Departmental users access the system directly.  Bills will continue to be emailed as a pdf to faculty, staff and other entity customers.

My Bill

Q1.  How do I gain access to view my bill?

A1.  Faculty, Staff, Other Entity customers will continue to receive their bills via email each month.  Bills will be sent to the primary email address we have on file.

Q2.  Will the layout of my bill change as part of the move to the new system?

A2.  Yes.  The layout will change; however, the bill will continue to reflect the same information as your previous bills.  The new layout is being designed with the end user in mind.  A User Guide ‘How to Read My Bill’ detailing the specific changes to each type of bill will be made available on the ITS Billing Services Service Catalog page before the April 2018 billing cycle, which will be the first time the bill is generated by the new ITS Billing Service (powered by Pinnacle).

Q3.  What do I owe?

A3.  Your account balance will be listed on the most recent bill emailed to you each month or you can view the amount owed via the On-Line Bill Pay site.

Q4.  Can I automatically pay my bill every month?

A4.  Faculty, staff and other entity customers can set up their accounts for autopay via the On-Line Bill Pay site.

Notifications

Q1.  I want to ensure I receive all notifications instead of them being considered junk or spam.  From where might I receive communications regarding my department’s bill?

A1.  You will continue to receive notifications from its-billing@nebraska.edu until this address changes in the future.  Before any email address change, you will be informed of the change with details to prevent future notifications from being treated as spam.

Q2.  How can I manage which email addresses receive notifications?

A2.  We will email the primary email address we have on file for you.  You can update your primary email address by emailing the ITS accounting office at its-billing@nebraska.edu.

Call Usage

Q1.  How can I view a list of my calls?

A1.  Faculty, staff, student and other entity customers will find a detailed listing of call usage as part of their monthly bill.  See ‘My Bill’ A2 for details on ‘How to read my bill’.

Impact of Migration to New Billing Services System

Q1.  How will I be impacted by the move to the new ITS Billing Service (powered by Pinnacle)?

A1.  In general, the impact will be limited to invoice date, payment due date, and invoice layout.  The manner in which you engage the Information Technology Service teams for service provisioning and billing does not change.

Auto-Pay

Q1.  I am currently enrolled in auto-pay.  Will that change due to the new ITS Billing Service (powered by Pinnacle) implementation?

A1.  Your enrollment in autopay remains intact.  As a reminder, autopay will be processed two days before the payment due date, unless that date falls on the weekend, in which case, it will be processed on the nearest business day.
